Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage

A specialist treatment for those living with lymphodema

Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage (RLD)

Recently  I’ve been immersed in learning a new protocol, and I’m so excited to share it with you. I trained in Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage (RLD) with its creator and founder, Sally Kay.

What is RLD?

  • Sally created RLD as an alternative to manual lymphatic drainage (MLD)
  • It’s done entirely through the reflexes of the feet (or hands)
  • It has the same aim as MLD: supporting clients living with lymphedema, whether post-surgical or primary
  • Clinical trials support the findings of RLD as a useful methodology in post-cancer lymphedema management

Why I wanted to learn it
I had a particular group of clients in mind: those who’ve had breast cancer or breast surgery, with a partial or complete lymph clearance, and who are left with ongoing lymphedema in the arm. I wanted a light, gentle, yet effective way to support them.

What I discovered along the way
As I worked through the lessons, I realised RLD can be used much more widely. I believe it will be a lovely treatment for clients with:

  • Generalised inflammation
  • Autoimmune conditions, such as rheumatoid arthritis
  • Post-viral recovery
  • Sinus issues
  • Anything connected to the lymphatic system

When can you book it?
Look out for it on my booking system, listed on my treatment menu as Reflexology Lymph Drainage (RLD).

Questions?
As always, reach out. I’d be so happy to help.
